There has been so much going on lately that I haven't had a lot of time to blog. BUT! I'm so excited to have the opportunity to speak at BYU this Wednesday! That's right! Utah Events by Design was invited to speak to a group of students interested in pursuing careers in event planning this coming Wednesday.I've been asked to talk about how I got my business started, what my experience has been like, offer advice and answer the students' questions about it all. WOW! I'm so honored to have this opportunity and am very flattered to have been asked to participate in such a cool discussion!
The second thing that has been keeping me occupied is an event I'm helping plan for the community of Tooele. Janet, owner of R.F. Engraving has asked me to participate in this is a wonderful event that will highlight Tooele businesses and individuals that have made vast contributions to the community. Olympic Gold Medalist Mike Schlappi will be speaking, and some exciting and prestigious awards will given out. I'm so glad I was asked to help put such a meaningful and special event together. Because it's for such a great cause, I donated all my services to this event free of charge. I too wanted to contribute along with the generous businesses participating. Unrelated to events, I have some exciting announcements that will be made this week about two fantastic vendors who have joined the Preferred Vendor Program! I'm currently working on the announcements and blog posts so you'll have to sit tight for a few more days, but check back as I'm sure you'll be pleased to see who has joined the program.
That's it for now! Thanks for reading and supporting Utah Events by Design. Such exciting times right now, and more to come and during this season of thanks and giving, I want to thank my vendors, clients, readers and fans for all of their support!
Hope you're having a warm and cozy winter and thanks for reading!
